What to Look Out for When Buying Ford Bronco Ignition Parts?

Ignition Parts

Ignition coil: The ignition coil in an automobile's ignition system picks the battery's low voltage and transforms it to the required voltage needed by your engine to create an electric spark in the spark plugs.

Spark Plugs: Spark plugs provide the spark that ignites the air-fuel mixture in the engine's cylinders. They are typically made of iridium or platinum and are screwed into the engine's cylinder head.

Distributor & Cap: The distributor is responsible for sending the spark from the coil to the correct spark plug at the right time. The distributor cap is a metal or plastic cover that protects the distributor's internal parts from dust and debris. It also helps to route the spark to the correct spark plug.

Starter: Your ignition starter is an electric motor that turns over the engine to start it, and it's located on the side of the engine block and is activated by the key switch.

Rotor: The rotor is a small metal disc that spins inside the distributor. It is connected to the engine's crankshaft and turns at the same speed as the engine. The rotor's job is to route the spark from the coil to the correct spark plug.

There are other ignition parts your Ford Bronco has that enable it to function properly. We recommend checking the parts you're buying for compatibility with your Bronco model.
