What to Look Out for When Buying Ford Bronco Body Armor?

Protection

The main reason why one would opt to buy Ford Bronco body armor is for protection and coverage.

Evaluate the specific areas of protection offered by the body armor. Depending on your needs, look for accessories that cover vulnerable areas such as pinch points, corners, door handles, bumpers, the hood, and the door pillars.

Comprehensive protection will help safeguard your Bronco from a wide range of potential hazards.  However, you should also decide whether impact protection is your main concern or is it just normal scratch and scuff protection.

The idea here is that daily driver Bronco models can do with just regular paint protection while more serious off-road builds should also be equipped with decent impact protection.

Build Materials and Durability

Look for Ford Bronco body armor made from high-quality materials that offer durability and long-lasting protection.  Materials like heavy-duty steel, aluminum, or reinforced plastics are commonly used for body armor accessories.  Read product descriptions, customer reviews, and ratings to gauge the quality and durability of the armor before you decide to buy anything.

With that said, if you want to protect your lights, glass panels, or normal glossy panels, it would be good to go for film protection regardless of investing in more serious body armor.

On the other hand, corner/fender body armor should be more durable as these are most vulnerable to impacts while driving off-road.

Aesthetics

Even though the main reason for investing in Ford Bronco body armor is to protect your Bronco, many people decide to do so because it simply looks cool.

Most body armor manufacturers are aware of that which is why you can choose from a large number of different finishes, styles, and colors which can compliment the rest of your Bronco while keeping it safe.

Coverage and Visibility

Last, but certainly not least, do not forget about coverage and visibility as these two can either make or break the entire ordeal. Coverage-wise, make sure to go for armor panels that are going to protect the entirety of the panel you want to protect. There is nothing worse than spending your money on a product that should protect you, but it fails to do so.

On the other hand, it’s not a good idea to go overboard as that can impact your overall visibility and thus increase the chances of actually damaging your Bronco.
