Thermal Research and Development was started in 1983 in a small shop in Canoga Park, CA. As demand for exhaust manufacturing grew, so did the size and scope of the company. Over three decades the business and customer base grew, developing into one of the most respected exhaust manufacturers in the United States.
The Thermal R&D Bronco *Ceramic Coated exhaust system is designed to be used for daily driving as well as off-roading and overlanding applications. Like the base model exhaust, the high clearance routing was maintained - similar to the OE design. Utilizing our True Helmholtz Design, it compliments the 2.7L engine by giving the vehicle a more aggressive, clean sound that has been very well received on vehicles with similar engines. The primary difference between this system and the base model is ceramic coated rear muffler which serve both functional head reduction and improve the aesthetics, especially for those with lifted rigs.
The Thermal Bronco system has optional tips (sold separately) that helps keep the off-roading clearances true. For a more traditional exhaust exit, tips are available in both Ceramic Coated and Polished.
